Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Attar, president of the esteemed university and under the supervision of assistant professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, dean of the institute, the immediate ambulance Department organized, in cooperation with the quality assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, and during this October, a seminar on the role of education in promoting sustainable development
It was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Qasem mezaal, the rapporteur of the above Department, and attended by a number of Institute members.
The purpose of the seminar topic
The seminar aims to enable participants to understand the close relationship between education and sustainable development, and to develop their abilities to integrate the principles of sustainability in the educational process, thus contributing to the preparation of a conscious and responsible generation capable of facing the environmental, economic and social challenges of the future.
The seminar showed:

The need to systematically integrate the concepts of sustainable development in education, encourage scientific research and student initiatives that focus on sustainable solutions to environmental and social problems, and strengthen cooperation between educational institutions, government agencies and civil society to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Clarify the concept of sustainable development and its three dimensions: economic, social, and environmental.
He presented the role of education in instilling the values of environmental citizenship and social responsibility.
Discuss the importance of integrating sustainability concepts into the curriculum at all educational stages.
Highlight successful experiences from schools or universities that have adopted education for sustainable development programs.
Emphasize the role of teachers and educational institutions in building a generation aware of future issues.
It is noteworthy that the topic of the seminar includes
The fourth goal: ‘quality education’ – which provides for ensuring equitable and inclusive quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning opportunities. The seminar is also indirectly related to Goal (13) ‘climate action’ and**(12) ** ‘responsible consumption and production’, given the role of education in raising awareness of these issues.
