MTI at a Glance
As the first technical institute in Iraq’s northern region, the Technical Institute of Mosul began its academic journey in 1976. It initially offered programs in two departments: the technical department, with branches for mechanics and electricity, and the administrative department, with branches for accounting and office administration. The institute currently offers a wide range of technical programs, following a long and successful period marked by creativity and innovation.

- To establish a technological higher education system with a renewed academic and applied framework, where quality is a shared responsibility, built on the foundation of meeting the needs of the labor market in accordance with the dynamics of the institute’s external environment, elevating the institute to the ranks of world-class scientific institutions.

- The institute puts a lot of effort into developing an effective and affordable technological base across a range of specializations, with a focus on a market that is changing quickly.
Objectives
- The institute seeks to produce scientific workers who will enter the workforce and fill its requirement.
- To lead the way in implementing cutting-edge instructional technology and staying abreast of global scientific advancement.
- Adjusting the curriculum to reflect advancements in science and technology as well as the ongoing changes in the labor market (by opening a line of communication between the curriculum and the labor market).
