To provide the community and both public and private sectors with qualified medical technical cadres to support health and medical sectors, with distinguished capabilities and potentials in a vital and important field to provide the best technical support for health institutions in Iraq, in addition to developing the capabilities of the department’s professors and top-performing students to move towards completing the vertical structure of technical education in the medical field.

Objectives

The Department of Medical Equipment Technology seeks a primary goal centered around providing health institutions in the public and private sectors with qualified technical cadres in the field of medical equipment with distinguished capabilities to provide and enhance the technical tasks of medical equipment for all related institutions, as well as achieving the following sub-objectives:

1. Enhancing the capabilities and potentials of health systems by supporting them with medical equipment technologies.

2. Responding to the needs of the community and the public and private sectors and providing them with specialized medical equipment technicians capable of maintaining and developing medical equipment.

3. Establishing modern systems that deal with the equipment and devices of health institutions according to the latest technical methods and standards, and carrying out periodic maintenance of all devices.

4. Enhancing technical performance in the field of medical equipment with advanced capabilities that save time, effort, and costs for performing medical technical tasks in the best way.
