ENERGY CONSERVATION AND CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY
In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7 for 2030, Northern Technical University has implemented a range of initiatives to address energy consumption and climate change. The university has established various policies, including an energy consumption reduction program, a renewable energy usage policy, and a greenhouse gas reduction program.
To further enhance energy efficiency, Northern Technical University has devised numerous plans focused on reducing energy consumption. These plans include increasing the number of energy-efficient appliances, utilizing cleaner fossil fuels, developing sustainable green buildings, and investing in renewable energy sources.
To effectively manage these efforts, Northern Technical University has established a Sustainable Development Unit dedicated to overseeing energy conservation guidelines across designated buildings. This unit actively promotes energy conservation practices and the use of renewable energy within the university community, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
