Northern Technical University Organizes an Awareness Workshop within the “I‘tidal” Program

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University and the supervision of the respected Dean of the Institute, the Department of Legal Management Technologies at the Institute organized, during the current month of January, a symposium entitled “Sustainable Development and the Role of Educational Institutions in Promoting Environmental and Social Awareness.”
The symposium was held as part of the sustainability activities and in coordination with the University Quality Assurance Unit. It was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Kamil Majid, Head of the Department, and Assistant Lecturer Bilal Sakr Abdullah, a faculty member in the same department. The symposium was attended by a number of the Institute’s staff members.
Objectives of the Symposium
The symposium aimed to enhance awareness of the importance of sustainable development and its pivotal role in improving quality of life and building balanced societies. It sought to highlight the relationship between sustainable development and quality of life in modern societies, and to discuss best practices and policies that contribute to achieving a balance between development and the preservation of resources.
In addition, the symposium encouraged individuals and institutions to adopt sustainable behaviors and projects in their daily lives and professional activities.
Recommendations
The International Forum on Education for Sustainable Development and Innovation recommends the formulation of global policies and legislation that strengthen the right to education and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Scientific Committee also recommends organizing periodic seminars and lectures to enhance public awareness of the importance of education in promoting sustainable development, as well as emphasizing the crucial role of modern technology in reforming educational systems.
