The University Holds Its Sixth Session of the Supervisory Committee for Evening Studies

Under the patronage of the respected President of the University and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the Institute, the Department of Legal Administration Techniques at the Institute organized a seminar during the current month of March entitled “Sustainable Development as a Strategic Option to Address Energy and Natural Resource Challenges.”
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Ali Dawood and Assistant Lecturer Hakim Abduljabbar Thamer, who are lecturers in the aforementioned department. The seminar was attended by a number of the institute’s staff members.
The seminar aimed to explain the importance of sustainable development as a strategic option for addressing energy problems and the depletion of natural resources. It also introduced the role of modern technology in enhancing energy efficiency and developing resources in a way that preserves the environment. In addition, it sought to raise awareness about the importance of transitioning toward clean and renewable energy sources and to encourage cooperation among various institutions to achieve the optimal use of natural resources.
The seminar concluded with several recommendations, emphasizing the necessity of adopting national strategies based on the principles of sustainable development in managing energy and natural resources. It also recommended developing renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy, enacting legislation that encourages investment in clean energy, strengthening community awareness programs about rationalizing energy consumption and preserving natural resources, and supporting scientific research and modern technologies that contribute to achieving environmental and economic sustainability.
