Under the auspices of the esteemed President of the University and under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, the Department of Mechanical Technologies at the Institute and through your divisions organized a seminar entitled Preparing the Course Description and Description of the Academic Program
, which was delivered by Eng. Nour Abdel Latif Ezzat
, a lecturer in the above department, and attended by a number of the Institute’s employees.

In light of the continuous pursuit towards developing the quality of education and ensuring the achievement of distinguished educational outcomes that comply with the standards of academic accreditation, the importance of preparing the course description and the description of the academic program comes as one of the basic elements of the quality assurance system in universities and educational institutions.
The course and program descriptions are pivotal documents that clarify the components of the educational process, including learning objectives and outcomes, knowledge content, teaching strategies, and evaluation mechanisms, which allow students, faculty members, and academic departments to have a clear and integrated view of the nature of the courses and programs offered.
Objective of the Symposium:
This symposium aims to clarify the correct concepts and practices for preparing academic descriptions in accordance with national and international standards, and to introduce the steps of preparing the description in a systematic way that contributes to achieving consistency between the learning outcomes and the goals of the program, in addition to discussing the most prominent challenges facing faculty members during the preparation of these documents and the mechanisms for their continuous development.
