Under the patronage of the respected President of the University and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the Institute, the Department of Mechanical Technologies organized, during the current month of February, an introductory seminar for students on program accreditation and its importance. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jassim Mohammed and was attended by the staff and students of the department.
The seminar aimed to:
Improve the quality of education and ensure the achievement of clear learning outcomes.
Enhance students’ and employers’ confidence in the awarded certificate.
Support the continuous development of academic programs.
Achieve alignment with development requirements and labor market needs.
The seminar highlighted the importance of:
Program accreditation as a fundamental step toward improving the quality of higher education.
Promoting a culture of quality within academic departments and raising awareness about the importance of accreditation among faculty members and students.
Updating curricula in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and labor market requirements.
Developing faculty members’ competencies through quality assurance and accreditation workshops and training courses.
Improving infrastructure and laboratories to support the achievement of targeted learning outcomes.
