A Seminar entitled Sustainable Development and its Impact on Improving the Quality of Life and Building Balanced Societies

The Department of Legal Management Techniques at the Institute is organizing a symposium entitled 'Sustainable Development and its Impact on Improving the Quality of Life and Building Balanced Societies'.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Latif Jassim, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Legal Management Techniques at the Institute, through the Division of Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation, organized a symposium entitled ‘Sustainable Development and its Impact on Improving the Quality of Life and Building Balanced Societies’, and its lectures were delivered by the following:
Prof. Zaki Yahya Ahmed, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laila Talal Ahmed, and Eng. Raghad Essam Dahham, the lecturers in the above department, and a number of the Institute’s affiliates participated.
The symposium aimed to promote awareness of the importance of sustainable development and its pivotal role in improving the quality of life and building balanced societies.
Introduce participants to the concepts and dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social, and environmental)
Highlight the relationship between sustainable development and quality of life in modern societies.
Discuss best practices and policies that contribute to achieving a balance between development and resource conservation.
Encouraging individuals and organizations to adopt sustainable behaviors and projects in their daily lives and businesses.
Exchanging experiences and ideas to build future visions that contribute to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in society.
The symposium came out with several recommendations:
Raising awareness of the importance of sustainable development and its role in improving the quality of life.
Enhancing cooperation between academic departments and government institutions to achieve common goals
Integrating sustainable development concepts into school curricula and research.
Encouraging students and researchers to prepare applied studies that support environmental and social goals
The symposium falls within any of the Sustainable Development Goals: –
Making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable, and this goal is closely related to the theme of the symposium, as it focuses on improving the quality of life by building balanced societies that take into account social, economic and environmental aspects, and provide a healthy and safe environment for all individuals.
