2026-01-13The Quality Assurance and University Performance Division organizes a workshop entitled: “Development of Hybrid Photovoltaic Materials to Enhance Solar Energy Conversion Efficiency.”
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Dean of the Technical Engineering College / Mosul, Prof. Dr. Aliya Abbas Al-Attar, and in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, and within the framework of the Sustainable Development Activities for the academic year 2025–2026, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division organized a workshop entitled: “Development of Hybrid Photovoltaic Materials to Enhance Solar Energy Conversion Efficiency.”
Solar energy is considered one of the most important renewable energy sources and among the most promising solutions for meeting the growing global demand for clean and sustainable energy. However, the efficiency of converting solar energy into electrical energy still represents a major technical challenge. In this context, hybrid photovoltaic materials have emerged as an innovative solution that combines the properties of different materials (organic, inorganic, and nanomaterials) with the aim of improving light absorption and enhancing charge separation and transport efficiency. This workshop aims to highlight the latest scientific and applied developments in the field of hybrid photovoltaic materials and their role in improving the efficiency of solar cells.
Workshop Lecturer:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Shatha Sabeeh Othman
Workshop Objectives:
-
Introducing participants to the concept of hybrid photovoltaic materials and their importance in solar energy technologies.
-
Reviewing the latest research and technologies used in the development of these materials.
-
Understanding the mechanisms for improving solar energy conversion efficiency using hybrid structures and materials.
-
Strengthening the link between scientific research and industrial applications in the field of solar cells.
-
Developing participants’ skills in analyzing and evaluating the performance of photovoltaic materials.
