The Technical Engineering College / Mosul discussed a technical master’s thesis in the field of Thermal Engineering Technologies, entitled:

“Thermal Insulation Performance of an Insulator Made from a Composite Material Produced from Waste Materials.”

The thesis, submitted by the researcher Omar Mowafaq Yahya, studied and evaluated the thermal insulation performance of composite insulators using paper, plastic, and wood waste in different formulations.

The thesis aimed to provide environmental and economic contributions by reducing accumulated waste in landfills and transforming it into valuable resources through the production of eco-friendly insulation materials. These materials are characterized by good thermal insulation efficiency and adequate mechanical resistance for construction applications, at a low cost, supporting sustainability in the construction sector.

The thesis recommended encouraging the use of solid waste in production processes to reduce environmental pollution and turn it into valuable resources.
