2025-11-04The Council of the Technical Engineering College of Mosul held its fourth session for the current year.
The Council of the Technical Engineering College of Mosul held its fourth session for the academic year 2025–2026, presided over by Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University and Acting Dean of the College, in the presence of all council members.
During the meeting, the council discussed the following topics:
- Reviewing and discussing ministerial, university, and presidential directives and correspondence.
- Continuing efforts to raise the level of reputable scientific publication and to include the university’s journals in the Scopus database, as well as expanding the base of international publications.
- Adhering to the ministry’s official timelines.
- Emphasizing that postgraduate research should have an applied nature that serves the needs of state institutions and society.
- Utilizing the distinguished capabilities of university faculty and students to enhance academic excellence.
- Activating agreements and academic cooperation with relevant local and international institutions.
- Urging academic departments to prepare and update their annual plans for the maintenance of laboratory equipment and infrastructure, ensuring proper implementation and documentation of progress.
- Emphasizing the activation of workshops and scientific seminars, making them interactive, modern, and aligned with practical applications.
- Hosting Dr. Nabil Mukhlef Abdulrazzaq, Director of the Quality Assurance Department, to discuss the requirements for program accreditation.
- Following up on the requests and needs of students residing in the dormitories and working to provide a suitable living environment.
- Discussing matters related to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Reviewing administrative and financial issues related to the college.
- Discussing other topics listed on the council’s agenda.
