The College of Health and Medical Technology/ Kirkuk organizes a scientific symposium on (Vaccines between reality and application)

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. (Mohammed Yawuz Nour El-Din), Dean of the Health and Medical Technical College/ Kirkuk, the Department of Therapeutic Nutrition Techniques at the college organized a scientific symposium entitled “Vaccines between Reality and Application.” The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Wafaa Mahmoud Jassim, and it was attended by the scientific assistant and several associate professors and technicians.

The symposium aimed to define vaccines, which are products that are usually given during childhood to protect children from dangerous diseases.

The symposium dealt with vaccines, which save the lives of between 2 and 3 million people every year, as they are essential tools to protect ourselves, our children, and our communities. Vaccines also help the immune system in the human body to fight infections more effectively by launching the body’s immune responses against specific diseases, and then if the virus or germ invades the human body in the future, the human immune system will be aware of how to fight this virus or germ.

Categories prohibited from vaccination:

  1. Chronic diseases or treatments such as chemotherapy that affect the immune system.
  2. Severe and life-threatening allergies to the components of vaccines.
