Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, the Department of Nursing Techniques established a scientific update entitled “Himalayan Salt for Hypertension Patients” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Thaera Idris Younis.

The lecture dealt with information that Himalayan salt is a type of salt that is extracted from rocks and is sometimes classified as a type of sea salt, while others classify it as rock salt. Himalayan salt is considered one of the purest types of salt on earth and is not contaminated with toxins unlike chemically treated table salt “

The newcomer came out with several recommendations, including:

1. Reducing sodium levels in food
2. Regular use of Himalayan salt as an alternative to the usual table salt, as it regulates water naturally in the body, enhances the alkaline pH of the cells of the body, improves the health of the sinuses, fights insomnia, supports the respiratory health of asthma patients and reduces signs of aging.
