Subjected / Student Graduation Projects 2024-2025

Project Titles

1- The effect of organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of Swiss chard (Beta vulgaris L.).

This type of vegetable is important and its leaves can be used to prepare some cooked foods as it is the main component of some meals because it is loaded with vitamins and beneficial nutrients including vitamins (A, C, K) in addition to calcium, iron and folate. Organic fertilizer is used as one of the important factors that greatly affect the growth of plants, especially leafy green plants, as its addition leads to improving the characteristics of vegetative growth, maintaining a sustainable environment and increasing production.

2- Effect of potassium and chelated zinc levels on the growth and yield of carrot Daucus Carota L. Carrot

is considered an important winter root crop because it is a rich source of beta-carotene and is grown for the enlarged upper part of the root as it contains nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, fibers and sodium. Its roots are used in soups as vegetables and it also contains thiamine, niacin, calories, vitamins A and C. It was also known before for its sugar content. Potassium fertilization is very important for agricultural crops, especially root crops, to form carbohydrates and starch. Chelated zinc is also considered an important and essential part in the formation and increase of starch content in root groups.

3- Testing amino acids in the growth and yield of fava bean plant Vicia faba L.

Fava bean is an inexpensive food and a rich source of protein when eaten as it contains an amount of proteins equal to the amount of protein found in meat and fish and is an important part of the human diet and is widely used as animal feed. Amino acids and their derivatives have been used because they have different prominent functions in plants such as protein synthesis, growth, development, nutrition and stress responses in addition to overcoming frost conditions that cause the entire plant to burn. These acids have been used to reduce mineral fertilizers to maintain a sustainable environment and increase production.

4- The effect of poultry waste on the growth and extract of active ingredients in the sweet seed plant (fennel) Foeniculum vulgare L.

Sweet seed is a medicinal plant that contains aspartic acid, phenol, flavonoids and alkaloids that fight tumor growth and protect the body from the harmful effects of radiation used in cancer treatment. Sweet seed reduces the risk of heart disease. Use poultry waste as an alternative to mineral fertilizers because it contains nutrients that increase the growth and production of sweet seed and protect the environment from pollution.

5- The effect of different levels of phosphorus on the growth and yield of onion plants.

Onions are a vegetable crop that contains antioxidants that help get rid of free radicals, which prevents Alzheimer’s, dementia, and others. It reduces the levels of fats and total and harmful cholesterol in the blood, which reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
