Mechnical Technologies Department

Mechanical Technologies is one of the main technological departments established in 1988. In one scientific branch It is the production branch , and in 2014, the oil equipment welding branch was established . The department has achieved great progress in the research field by preparing a research base for manufacturing laboratory equipment that keeps pace with scientific developments in this field through student projects and scientific research by department faculty members. There are more than four specialized laboratories containing devices and equipment to complete practical experiments for department students and for both stages. In addition to mechanical workshops in the department’s specialization to train students on the most important skills that a graduate can acquire, which can create an important working environment that serves the government and private sector.

Vision

Creating a technical (practical) ecosystem as the department moves towards expanding the base of technical education with its modern branches and applications to be a pioneer in providing accredited technical services with solid science to serve the community .

The Department of Mechanical Technology adopts a general message based in its general form on the framework of technical education in Iraq, a message that it seeks to achieve every year to highlight the distinctive and creative aspect of the department. The general objectives focus on graduating national technical cadres at a level of education and training that are capable of absorbing modern technology systems and supporting the process of technical development to keep pace with the rapid and important global technical developments in this field.

Participation and implementation of emergency and periodic maintenance work for machines and equipment that fall within his jurisdiction .
Using computer and Internet technologies in education and training, as well as linking equipment and machines in the field of mechanics with these modern and advanced technologies.
