Within the framework of enhancing the practical aspect and linking theoretical concepts with real engineering applications, the Department of Power Mechanics Engineering Technologies at our college organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students in both the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Renewable Energy branches to the State Company for Communication and Power Equipment / Al-Kindi Factory, under the supervision of several faculty members from the department.
During the visit, students were introduced to the operational mechanisms within the factory, particularly the Research and Development Department, as well as the Thermal Cameras Factory, in addition to engineering inspection and quality control laboratories, and other technologies and laboratories that align with the department’s specializations in thermodynamics, heat transfer, thermal applications, and mechanical power systems.
This visit contributed to:
-
Enhancing the practical understanding of academic courses
-
Familiarizing students with a real industrial working environment
-
Developing analytical skills and the ability to link academic knowledge with practical applications
-
Broadening students’ perspectives regarding future employment opportunities in industrial institutions
The department affirms its continued commitment to organizing such scientific activities due to their effective role in enhancing students’ scientific and practical competencies and in supporting the educational process.
