Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar,
the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students to the Qayyarah Gas Power Station, aiming to enhance the practical aspect of their engineering specialization.

The visit was supervised by the following faculty members:

• Dr. Mahmoud Taha Mahmoud / Assistant Professor
• Laith Abdul-Jabbar Khalaf / Assistant Professor
• Osama Khair Al-Din Mahmoud / Lecturer Assistant
• Mushtaq Rakan Talib / Assistant Engineer

During the scientific visit, the students were introduced to the operation system of the gas power station, the types of fuel used, and the methods of fuel and water treatment. They also learned about the main generation units, observed the electricity generation process, and received a detailed explanation of all system components, control stages, monitoring panels, and the mechanism of interconnection with other stations and the national grid. Additionally, they were introduced to the occupational safety system.

At the end of the visit, the faculty members and students expressed their gratitude to the station management and the accompanying engineers for their warm reception and hospitality, wishing everyone continued success and prosperity.
