Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies organized a scientific field visit for second-year students to the Qayyarah Gas Power Station, with the aim of enhancing the practical aspect of their engineering specialization. The visit was accompanied by the following faculty and staff members:

• Asst. Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim

• Asst. Prof. Laith Abduljabbar Khalaf

• Asst. Lecturer Ali Salah

• Assistant Engineer Abdullah Qahtan

• Assistant Engineer Ali Abdulilah

During the visit, students were introduced to the operational system of the gas power station, the types of fuel used, fuel and water treatment methods, as well as the main power generation units. They also observed the electricity generation process and received a detailed explanation of the system components, control stages, monitoring panels, and grid interconnection mechanisms with the national power network. Additionally, they were briefed on the occupational safety system applied within the station.

At the end of the visit, the faculty members and students expressed their appreciation to the station management and accompanying engineers for their warm reception and hospitality, wishing everyone continued success and progress
