As part of the scientific activities of the Department of Applied Mechanical Techniques / Technical Engineering College – Mosul, a scientific video titled “Iron Making” was presented to second-year students under the supervision of Asst. Lecturer Zeina Saad Abduljabbar.

The video aims to enhance students’ understanding of the stages of iron manufacturing within the Materials Engineering curriculum by providing a detailed visual explanation of reduction processes, blast furnaces, and the conversion of raw ore into molten iron, in addition to illustrating the role of modern technologies in improving production efficiency.

The students showed great interest in the content due to its importance in linking theoretical concepts with real industrial applications, which contributes to developing their engineering skills and deepening their knowledge of metal manufacturing processes.

This activity comes as part of a series of events organized by the department to support the students’ academic development and to strengthen their practical capabilities.
