The results of the Scimago World Classification for the year 2022 were announced, where the Northern Technical University registered an official entry for the second year in a row in this classification for the year 2022, by achieving 15th place locally (second quarter Q2) out of a total of 40 Iraqi universities within the center, the Kurdistan region and globally, 731st place out of a total of 40 Iraqi universities. 4,364 international universities, advancing 3 locally and 98 international centers compared to 2021
In the implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and as a complement to the project started by the Northern Technical University and as a result of the great efforts made by Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University since her assumption of the presidency of the university until now in the scientific and educational field in directing the advanced angel in the presidency of the university towards Hard and diligent work and a team spirit to achieve this goal, as our university has been entered, with the grace of God Almighty, for the second time in a row within the Scimago World University Rankings for 2022. This classification is issued annually in Spain and is the official partner of both Scopus International Database and Elsevier Publishing House. This classification is one of the most important international classifications. We congratulate our university for this important scientific achievement, and we hope that the university will achieve further progress and development in the future.
