Based on the principle of joint cooperation between state departments and various institutions, and to support and enhance the scientific aspect of the laboratories of the Engineering Technical College of Kirkuk, the College was gifted a telescope used for astronomical observation and study of solar activity by the applied astronomer Mr. Saad Eddin Shukri Hussein, which is used for educational purposes in the Geodesy Laboratory for preliminary studies. and graduate in the Department of Surveying Engineering.
The handover of the device was attended by the Dean, Assistant Professor Sami Reda Aslan, the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Muntadhar Idi Sharif, and the committee to receive the device represented by Prof.Dr. Fawzi Mardan Omar and Mrs. Nada Fakhreddin.
