2022-02-13Mosul Technical Institute organizes a panel discussion “Isolation and identification of types of cyanobacteria and how to distinguish between their types”
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Qader, the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques organized a seminar entitled “Isolation and diagnosis of types of cyanobacteria and how to distinguish between their types” delivered by the head of the department, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Fadel Hamid Haddad.
Objectives and recommendations:
- Extraction and analysis of the basic external manifestations of cyanobacteria
- Finding the correct ways to re-grow bacteria under correct laboratory conditions.
- Finding valid and correct methods for extracting the DNA of the tested cyanobacteria species, measuring them, knowing their genetic properties and comparing them, and knowing the sex, gender and family.
- Knowing its productivity and what materials it produces and its usefulness.
