2022-02-13Mosul Technical Institute organizes a panel discussion entitled “Incidence the genetic polymorphism of ABO blood groups in Mosul city and correlated with diseases”
Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdul-Wahab Abdul-Qader, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies organized a seminar entitled “Incidence the genetic polymorphism of “ABO blood groups in Mosul” city and correlated with diseases.
The lecture was delivered by teacher Alaa Yonis Mahdi.
The episode aimed to:
- Indicate the genetic diversity of ABO blood types in the city of Mosul
- ABO polymorphisms may be a risk factor for many diseases
- Type A blood is the most common type of disease.
- Type O blood is the least common type of disease.
- Referring to the researchers’ recommendation to conduct genetic and survey studies of ABO blood type receptors and the extent of their impact on diseases.
