A Large-Scale Tree-Planting Campaign at Al-Dour Technical Institute

Under the direct guidance and supervision of the President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, a large-scale tree-planting campaign was launched today, Wednesday, May 13, at Al-Dour Technical Institute. This initiative comes as an extension of the wide afforestation campaign initiated by Her Excellency across the university’s formations, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the university environment and expanding green spaces.

The campaign included the delivery and planting of trees at the institute, in the presence of the Director of the Media and Government Communication Department, the Director of the Science and Technology Gardens Department, and the Head of the Technological Business Incubator Division, under the supervision of the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Maha Al-Taif, alongside broad participation from the institute’s staff and students.

The campaign was carried out at the new site of the scientific departments, specifically in the areas surrounding the fountain, as part of the university’s continuous efforts to enhance the aesthetic and environmental character of its educational institutions and to promote a culture of afforestation and volunteer work among students and staff. These efforts reflect the university’s commitment to creating a more sustainable, vibrant, and beautiful campus environment.
