University President Leads Extensive Tree-Planting Campaign at the Nimrud Technical Institute with Participation of Nineveh Governorate’s Technical Deputy

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and with the participation of the Technical Deputy of the Nineveh Governorate, Mr. Khalid Al-Obaidi, the Nimrud Technical Institute witnessed the launch of a wide-ranging tree-planting campaign covering the institute’s halls and gardens. The initiative aimed to enhance green spaces and provide a suitable university environment for students and staff, in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Dhnoun Younis Dhnoun.

During the campaign, the University President emphasized the importance of spreading environmental awareness and maintaining the aesthetic quality of educational institutions, noting that tree planting represents a civilizational message reflecting the university’s commitment to creating a sustainable and healthy learning environment, as well as its role in improving the urban landscape within the campus.

For his part, the Technical Deputy of the Nineveh Governorate praised the significant efforts made by the university leadership in revitalizing the Nimrud Technical Institute and developing its infrastructure, affirming the local government’s support for initiatives that serve educational institutions and promote environmental enhancement.

The campaign saw the active participation of several faculty members, staff, and students of the institute, in an atmosphere that reflected a spirit of cooperation, belonging, and dedication to maintaining green spaces within the educational institution.
