Within the framework of linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies organized a scientific field visit for first-year students to the Diwan Residential Complex, currently under construction, located on the left side of the city of Mosul.

The visit aimed to enable students to gain firsthand insight into the actual implementation stages of residential projects, familiarize themselves with modern construction technologies, safety systems, and site management mechanisms, thereby enhancing their professional readiness and developing their technical competencies from the early stages of their academic studies.

A number of faculty members from the department accompanied the students, during which on-site explanations were provided regarding construction methods, types of materials used, and the sequence of construction works. Students’ inquiries were addressed, and practical observations were linked to relevant academic concepts.

This visit comes as part of the department’s vision to graduate technical engineers who possess a practical understanding of the labor market and are capable of transforming engineering plans into tangible reality with efficiency and quality.
