Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University,
the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Technical Engineering College–Mosul, in cooperation with the Media and Government Communication Division, organized a seminar as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. The seminar highlighted the importance of promoting awareness of women’s rights and rejecting all forms of violence. The event also included a field outreach activity during which informational and awareness materials were distributed to students and staff.

Following the seminar, the awareness team and the Women’s Affairs Coordinating Committee conducted brief interviews with students to gather their views, assess their understanding of issues related to gender-based violence, and encourage constructive reflection on the role of individuals and institutions in fostering a safe and supportive university environment.

This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to adopting a participatory approach that places women’s rights at the forefront of its social responsibility efforts.
