Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Omar Khalil Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Technical Institute / Hawija and in cooperation with the General Company for Gas Filling and Services / Kirkuk organized an educational seminar on (the use of gas systems in heating and cooking in addition to its use as fuel for cars) Present at the symposium were:-

• Eng. Omar Muhammad Taha, Head of the Training and Development Unit in the above company
• Engineer Shukr Abdul Salam Muhammad, head of the gas networks unit in the above company
• Raed and Abdallah Daoud, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Students.

It was attended by several affiliates and students.

The seminar dealt with:

Optimal use of cooking gas by going to gas systems built on an engineering basis without the need for traditional gas cylinders. The issue of modification in the fuel system in modern cars was also discussed, in which liquid gas was used as an alternative fuel to gasoline, and the most important points in these systems were mentioned, such as economic feasibility and high efficiency.

The seminar indicated:

The use of gas systems has several advantages and characteristics that dispense with the traditional use of oil and gasoline in most factories and cars, including:

The percentage of expenses in gas systems is 30% less than others.

The percentage of pollution resulting from gas systems is almost non-existent.

The seminar aimed to:

Diversity using energy sources is the best solution to get rid of crises that may occur on a particular product without the other.

The seminar came out with the following recommendations:

Orientation to the use of gas systems, which are subject to standardization and quality control by specialized engineers.

Vertical residential complexes and university dormitories are the next goals for building liquid gas systems.
