Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Technical Institute, Al-Dour, the Women Empowerment Committee at the Institute organized, among the activities it implements during the current academic year and in cooperation with the health care sector, a scientific seminar on (Breast Cancer).

The lecture was given by:

• Dr. Hana Alaa Mouloud, Specialist Physician/Master of Community Medicine
• Ms. Manal Mahdi Saleh, member of the committee’s liaison at the institute, was attended by a number of the institute’s female staff members

The symposium aimed to introduce breast cancer and how to identify it and discover its early symptoms through periodic examination of the patient, as well as educate the largest number of individuals through these seminars.

The symposium indicated the need to pay attention to the health of the family and women, and to stay away from harmful habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol, and urging to exercise, among others.
