The Department of Applied Mechanical Engineering Technologies organized a training workshop entitled “Using Zotero Software for Managing References in Research and Academic Theses,” aimed at providing researchers and postgraduate students with the practical skills needed to use one of the most important free programs for managing and organizing scientific references.

The workshop included an explanation of how to install the program, input and import references from databases and academic websites, organize references within categorized digital libraries, and learn about automatic citation methods and formatting reference lists in Word and Google Docs using various citation styles such as APA, MLA, and Chicago.

The workshop aimed to enable students and researchers to efficiently manage their references and avoid common citation errors, thereby contributing to improving the quality and accuracy of research papers and academic theses.

The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Iyad Suleiman Abdullah, Head of the Department of Applied Mechanical Engineering Technologies, and attended by postgraduate research-stage students.
