The workshop covered several key topics, including understanding how to evaluate scientific journals, recognizing the differences between peer-reviewed journals and those indexed in international databases, as well as identifying quality indicators such as Impact Factor, Scopus metrics, and journal rankings.
Participants also learned how to verify the credibility of journals and avoid predatory journals, in addition to learning how to match their research topic with the journal’s scope and publication requirements.

The workshop aimed to help students and researchers make informed decisions regarding publication priorities, enhance the chances of their research being accepted, and avoid common mistakes when selecting a journal—contributing to improving the quality and scientific impact of academic research.
