Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, and within the framework of enhancing joint scientific cooperation and exchanging academic expertise with foreign universities, the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Engineering organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol,” held in the college discussion hall.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Safa Sinan Mahmoud via online communication, who introduced the speaker, Associate Professor Dr. Peer Mohamed, a researcher at the National University and Head of the Malaysian Branch of the APEC Cooperation Forum Research Center for Advanced Hydrogen Technologies.

The seminar was attended by Professor Dr. Mohammed Sabah Jirjis, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and the Head of the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Industries Engineering, Dr. Haider Ismail Ibrahim, in addition to a number of faculty members, researchers, and undergraduate and postgraduate students. The seminar witnessed scientific discussions that enriched its themes, underscoring the importance of such events in supporting scientific research and keeping pace with global trends toward sustainability and the reduction of environmental impact.
