In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Department of Biomedical Engineering Technology held a seminar entitled “Together Against Drugs for an Aware Generation.”

Dr. Aseel Thamer Ibrahim and Dr. Shatha Subaih Othman presented the seminar, addressing the negative effects of this serious scourge on individuals and society. They explained that drugs directly impact human health, weakening the body and damaging the mind, as well as causing serious psychological and physical illnesses. They clarified that drug use leads to a loss of self-control and the deviation of youth from values ​​and morals, thus increasing crime rates and social problems.

They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between community members and educational institutions to curb the spread of drugs. Families, schools, and the community as a whole must work together to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and encourage young people to stay away from them. This cooperation contributes to building an educated and aware generation capable of protecting themselves and their community from this scourge, and building a healthy and safe future for all.
