In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Department of Biomedical Engineering Technology held a seminar entitled “The Dangers of Illegal Immigration.”

Dr. Aseel Thamer Ibrahim and Dr. Shatha Subaih Othman presented the seminar, highlighting the significant harm this phenomenon inflicts on individuals and society. They explained that illegal immigration exposes young people to physical and legal risks, such as exploitation, human trafficking, accidents during travel, and the loss of basic rights. It also leads to the loss of educational and professional opportunities and increases psychological stress for migrants and their families.

They emphasized the importance of awareness campaigns and guidance, encouraging young people to seek legal and safe pathways for immigration or employment, and fostering cooperation between the community, educational institutions, and government agencies to protect youth from these dangers. Raising awareness and providing safe alternatives contributes to building a generation that is conscious and capable of making sound decisions for its future.
