2025-12-17Under the patronage of Her Excellency, the President of Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of Her Excellency, the Dean of the Technical Engineering College / Mosul, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit organized an awareness-raising scientific seminar entitled “Engineering Ethics” for students of the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies. This seminar was conducted as part of the activities of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, aiming to prepare qualified engineering cadres by linking academic knowledge with practical application and enhancing students’ readiness to confidently and competently enter the labor market.
The seminar addressed the concept of engineering professional ethics, the engineer’s responsibility toward society and institutions, the importance of adhering to professional integrity, and safety and quality standards in the workplace. It also highlighted the role of ethics in engineering decision-making and in building a sustainable professional reputation.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Adel Najm, a faculty member in the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies.
The seminar witnessed notable interaction from the attendees through discussions and interventions that focused on the practical challenges faced by engineers in the labor market and the appropriate ways to address them within ethical and legal frameworks.
