In accordance with the directives of the President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and as part of joint scientific and academic cooperation visits between the Northern Technical University’s departments, the Department of Geomatics Engineering Technology at our college received the Head of the Department of Surveying Engineering Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Muntadhar Aidi Sharif, at the Technical Engineering College/Kirkuk.
During the visit, mechanisms for enhancing cooperation in the field of field training were discussed, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Duaa Talib Hashim, Head of the Department of Geomatics Engineering Technology. The importance of exchanging scientific expertise between the two sides was also highlighted, contributing to the development of the academic and practical performance of students in both departments.
The visiting delegation also viewed the modern laboratories and equipment used in training and listened to an explanation of the nature of the academic curricula and the fields of applications of geomatics and surveying.
At the conclusion of the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of continued scientific coordination and communication to enhance the quality of technical education and support community service through joint applied projects and research.
