In a distinguished presence, the President of Northern Technical University took part in the inauguration of the Urban Planning Directorate in Nineveh Governorate.

The President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alya Abbas Ali Al-Attar, participated in the opening ceremony of the Urban Planning Directorate in Nineveh Governorate in its new form. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Nineveh Provincial Council, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hassour, along with a number of officials.

During the inauguration, the University President met with the Director of the Directorate, Engineer Ziyad Abdul-Munim, where they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the university and the directorate, particularly in the fields of urban planning and engineering consultancy, in a way that supports reconstruction and development efforts in the governorate.

The University President emphasized the importance of integrating roles between academic institutions and government bodies, praising the efforts made in rehabilitating the directorate and modernizing its facilities, which would enhance the level of services provided to citizens and support the path of sustainable development in Nineveh Governorate.
