Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University and under the supervision of the Dean of Al-Dor the Technical Institute, the Immediate Aid Department at the Institute organized a symposium entitled “The Role of Vitamin K in Blood Coagulation.” The lecture was delivered by:

The assistant teacher Ansam Hussein Ali, and the assistant teacher Muhannad Imad Majid from the above department, and a number of university employees attended.

The seminar aimed to:

1. Introduction to Vitamin K, its composition, types and most important sources.

2. The importance of vitamin K in the human body, especially during bleeding.

3. Definition of the coagulation process and the coagulation mechanism and the role of vitamin K in this process.

The symposium showed the importance of eating healthy food and paying attention to the health of the digestive system in order to maintain the natural level of the vitamin in the body.
