The Northern Technical University won first place for the Bahr Al-Uloom Award for Creativity in its fourth session

Dr. Abdel-Bar Ahmed Nuri, a teacher at the Agricultural Technical College, won first place in the Bahr Al-Uloom Award for Creativity, which was organized by the Bahr Al-Uloom Foundation and the El Alamein Institute for Studies, for his research marked the genetic profiling of milk mycoplasmas that cause mastitis in cows. Dr. Abdul-Bar Ahmed Nuri headed a research team of researchers from Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, and Iran.
And six bacterial isolates were recorded in the NCBI gene bank for the first time, and the competition was for the Bahr Al-Uloom Award for Creativity for the fourth session of 2022, as the total research received from inside and outside Iraq for this session reached 142 research in medical sciences, agricultural sciences, and development. Public and private universities, research departments in government institutions, and the Ministry, in addition to Arab universities, participated as follows:
Where a large percentage of the participating research was distributed to the mothers of Iraqi universities, the University of Technology, the University of Baghdad, the University of Mosul, the University of Al-Mustansiriya, the University of Kufa, the University of Basra, the University of Babylon, the University of Al-Nahrain, the University of Tikrit, the University of Jabir bin Hayyan, the University of Muthanna, the University of Al-Qasim Al-Khadra, the University of Anbar, the University of Karbala and the University Northern Technical College, Southern Technical College, and Engineering Technical College.
Private universities and colleges also contributed to Iraq, including Al-Bayan University, Al-Zahra University, Al-Turath University College, and Sheikh Al-Tusi University College.
Ministries and government institutions also participated, including the research departments of the Ministry of Health in Nineveh, Najaf, Karbala, Wasit Health Department, research centers such as the Cancer Research Center, and research departments in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Planning.
Participation was not limited to Iraqi universities and institutes but also to Arab participation. Research from King Saud University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Crops Research Institute in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Al-Quds University in Palestine, the Arab Center for Arab Studies, and others participated in the award.
The award ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Iraqi Republic and Senior Adviser, Dr. Ali Al-Shukri
And Adviser to the Iraqi Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Aqil Mahmoud
And the Iraqi Minister of Health, Dr. Salih al-Hasnawi
And the Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Al-Alaywi
And the Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi
Assistant Professor Dr. Hanan Shihab Ahmed, Head of the Prosthetics Department at the Technical Institute, and Assistant Lecturer Bakr Siddiq, a lecturer at the College of Agricultural Technology, participated in our university.
