Under the guidance of Dr. Aliya Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the President of the Northern Technical University, a delegation from the university, supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rafee Mahmoud, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, participated in a workshop organized by the World Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The workshop was attended by Dr. Ihab Nagi, the Director General of the Studies and Planning Department, and advanced staff from the ministry, to discuss the administrative and financial matters of the Higher Education Support Project in Iraq.
As is customary for our university delegations, the participating delegation achieved a competitive award for selecting an abbreviated name for the project, “SHEID” (Building Iraq), proposed by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulbar Ahmed Nouri, the Executive Director of the Food Safety Project.
These projects will be launched in eleven government universities that have previously distinguished themselves with various scientific and research projects aimed at training students on the latest global technologies in their respective fields, both domestically and internationally.
