2023-05-22The master’s thesis specializes in Engineering of Construction Materials Technologies at the Engineering Technical College in Mosul, chaired by the President of Northern Technical University, Mrs. Alia Abbas Al-Attar.
Mrs. Alia Abbas Al-Attar chaired the examination committee for the technical master’s thesis held at the Engineering Technical College in Mosul, titled:
“Enhancing the Properties of Lightweight Concrete Utilizing Pumice Aggregate.”
The thesis submitted by the researcher Shaker Ahmed Khudair investigated the effect of replacing proportions of pumice aggregate on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, as well as the study of the impact of adding certain proportions of steel fiber and ppm fiber.
The aim of the thesis was to improve the physical and mechanical properties of normal weight concrete and obtain lightweight concrete with acceptable strength.
The thesis recommended the following:
Conducting further research on the use of lightweight sustainable materials, both natural and industrial.
Using pozzolanic materials as a substitute for cement with lower density and acceptable strength.
Using high-strength carbon fibers to increase the concrete’s resistance.
The examination committee consisted of the following members:
Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar (Chairwoman)
Assistant Professor Dr. Sufyan Yunus Ahmed (Member)
Assistant Lecturer Duaa Talib Hashim (Member)
Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Adnan Bashar (Member and Supervisor)
