Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Shahla Abdel-Wahab, the Department of Chemical and Oil Industries held a scientific update entitled (Nanocatalysts in the Chemical Industries) delivered by Dr. Ali Younis Hamed/teacher.

The workshop dealt with the importance of nanomaterials and Nanocatalysis and their role in the chemical industries, especially as catalysts in the oil and petrochemical industries and the production of such catalysts by major international chemical companies plays an important industrial role, and innovation in the field of nanochemistry is a major focus to open research and applied prospects in the country.
