The Technical Institute / Al-Door organizes electronically a workshop entitled “Clean energy sources and their environmental impact in Iraq”

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mazhar Abbas Ahmed, Dean of the Institute, the Immediate Aid Department, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Division at the Institute and within the sustainability program, organized an electronic workshop entitled Clean Energy Sources and their Environmental Impact in Iraq, delivered by the teacher Dr. Ansam Hussein Ali and Mr. Mustafa Talib Khalaf, and it was attended by a number of the Institute’s employees. The workshop aimed at:

  1. Identifying energy, its types, and classification.
  2. Clarifying the capabilities and advantages of clean energy and ways to use it.
  3. Identifying the economic feasibility and methods of exploiting them to serve the environment in Iraq.
  4. Knowing the important obstacles facing the clean energy field in Iraq.

The workshop indicated:

  1. Supporting reliance on solar energy and introducing new projects with regard to clean energy, especially in Iraq.
  2. Providing assistance and granting loans to citizens to purchase clean energy generating units and facilitating procedures for the private sector to invest in this aspect, which will open a wide scope for the spread of their use and the provision of electric energy that suffers from a great shortage in it.
  3. Spreading awareness and education about the use of clean energy.
  4. Attracting competencies and expertise in the field of clean energy.
