The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdel Sahib, gave a lecture at the Defense University for Higher Military Studies on the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its role in attracting scientific competencies.
The lecture included a number of issues that summarized the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in dealing with Iraqi scientific competencies abroad within a national philosophy and vision that works to communicate with distinguished and talented people and benefit from them to serve Iraq.
The Minister of Education, in the presence of the President of the Defense University for Higher Military Studies, Lieutenant-General Saad Mizher Al-Alaq, and the Dean of the National Defense College, Rear Admiral Ahmed Omran, the university president’s assistants, the university’s staff, the faculty of the National Defense College, and a gathering of students of the national defense course, said that the national goals which the Ministry of Education worked on in this field focused on creating an environment of scientific communication with the Iraqi immigrant energies and formulating programs to promote civilized dialogue and cultural exchange between Iraq and the countries of the world.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education contributed to the formulation of a proposed strategy that encourages brainy Iraqi immigrants to contribute to development and reconstruction programs, formulate various decisions according to specializations, and mobilize energies in the field of university education, scientific research, and technical, economic and health projects.
The attendees participated in the dialogue and valued the procedures of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in integrating with state institutions, opening up to the outside, communicating with Iraqi competencies and energies, keeping pace with global experiences, facing health changes and challenges, and adapting to their requirements at the level of education and learning.
