Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Prof. Shehab Ahmed, the Department of Combating Desertification Techniques organized a seminar entitled “Using sewage water to combat desertification” and in the presence of the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the lecture was delivered by Dr. Nadera Abbas Muhammad.

• The seminar included knowing the causes of land degradation and treating them in the Third River with a high discharge of water through which wastewater or sewage and return water flow.
• The seminar dealt with how to recycle wastewater for use in irrigation and agriculture.
  Know the most important benefits of recycling.
  Knowing the proposed measures to combat desertification in the field of water resources and climate.
  Several faculty and staff members participated in the seminar.
