The Agricultural Technical College – Mosul discusses a ‘comparative study of the use of beef tallow and flaxseed oil and their combination in the productive performance and nutritional value of broilers in Nineveh Governorate’
The College of Agricultural Technology discussed the technical master’s thesis, specializing in animal production techniques, entitled “A comparative study of the use of beef tallow and flaxseed oil and their combination in the productive performance and nutritional value of broilers in Nineveh Governorate.”
The thesis submitted by student ‘Hassan Nizar Mahmoud’ examined the productive and biochemical characteristics of broiler chickens, such as body weight, weight gain, feed conversion factor, glucose concentration, total protein, cholesterol, and triglycerides in blood serum.

The effect of adding animal tallow, flaxseed oil and their combination to the feed as an energy source as a partial substitute for yellow corn.
The message concluded:
These additions led to a significant increase in production and biochemical traits, especially body weight and high-density lipoprotein (HDL).
After the student defended his thesis and discussed it by the committee, his thesis was accepted with an honors grade.
Part of the discussion was attended by Prof. Dr. Dhanoun Younis Dhanoun, Assistant President of the Northern Technical University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the Dean of the Mosul Medical Institute, and the administrative and scientific assistants.
