The Administrative Technical College organizes a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Achieving Development and a Sustainable Future”

Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Administrative Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Taha Yasseen, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Administrative Technical College of Mosul, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Presidency of the Northern Technical University and through Google Meet, organized a scientific workshop entitled: The role of women in achieving sustainable future development

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Fadwa Ali Hussein Al-Abd.

The workshop was attended by several students, teachers, and college and university members.

The workshop aimed at:

Introducing the role of women in achieving sustainable development by investing the energies and material and human capabilities that exist in society to achieve the well-being of society.

The women’s topics in the workshop included the following:

  1. The first axis: the social role of women and the responsibility of advancing society and raising generations.
  2. The second axis: the role of women in the development of society by discovering the child’s skills, abilities, and talents, and working to develop them, nurture and develop them.
  3. The third axis: the challenges facing women’s economic, social and political empowerment.

The workshop came out with a set of recommendations, including:

  • The importance of women’s participation in enhancing the success of development efforts through economic participation and development in society
  • Design development projects to bridge the gender gap, raise awareness of justice between men and women, and improve women’s living conditions.
