Northern Technical University signs a scientific cooperation agreement with the Gulf College of Oman in an unprecedented achievement for Iraqi universities.

Northern Technical University, represented by its President Prof. Dr. Aliaa Abbas Ali Al-Attar, has achieved an unprecedented achievement among Iraqi universities.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al-Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman, and in achieving an unprecedented achievement, Northern Technical University has become the first Iraqi university to sign a scientific cooperation agreement with the Gulf College in the Sultanate of Oman – Muscat, which strengthens the bridges of scientific communication between the two countries.
This came in the presence of Yahya bin Salam Al-Mandhari, Acting Director of the Higher Education Sector on Delegation, and Dr. Maryam bint Al-Arab Al-Nabhani, Director General of Private Universities and Colleges at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, Director General of the Department of Scholarships and Relations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Republic of Iraq, also participated, along with Dr. Issa bin Sabil Al-Balushi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf College, and Professor Dr. Taqi Al-Abdwani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the College.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two parties, where the agreement was signed on the Omani side by Professor Dr. Ali bin Hamad Al-Badi, Dean of the Gulf College, and on the Iraqi side by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Karim Abdul Rahman, as a Deputy of Northern Technical University President.
This agreement aims to enhance academic and research cooperation between the two institutions, exchange knowledge and expertise in the fields of higher education and quality assurance, in addition to developing curricula, in a way that achieves the common interests of both parties.
