Under the patronage and presence of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, the Department of Media and Public Relations, in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Unit at the University Presidency, organized an educational seminar online entitled “The Role of Universities in Promoting Citizenship and Peaceful Coexistence and Renouncing Violence among Students.” The seminar consisted of four lectures:

1. The first lecture, entitled The Role of the University in Achieving Good Citizens and Good Citizenship, was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Muhammed Tayeb Al-Hafouzi / the instructor at the College of Arts, University of Mosul.
2. The second lecture, entitled The Role of Universities in Renouncing Violence among Students, was given by the teacher assistant Muntaha Hassan, teaching at Al-Mustansiriya University.
3. The third lecture, entitled Social Responsibility of the University in Reducing Bullying, was given by Assistant Professor Enas Muhammad Aziz, Teaching Assistant in the Sociology Department – College of Arts / University of Mosul.
4. The fourth lecture entitled “The Space of Peaceful Coexistence within the University” was given by Assistant Professor Nibal Fawzi Mahmoud, a teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology – College of Arts – University of Mosul.

A large number of members and students of the Iraqi university and universities participated in the symposium.
